In the video above, Cassidy Powers reports from Big Sky, where a woman was injured in a house explosion on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Officials believe that a propane explosion sparked the fire.

Big Sky Fire Deputy Fire Chief Seth Barker told MTN News that witnesses reported seeing the windows and door at the residence "blow out of" the back of the house.

According to Big Sky Fire Chief Greg Megaard, the woman has been flown to Idaho Falls for treatment of what are said to be "severe" burn injuries.

Firefighters from Big Sky, Gateway, and Rae were paged to the incident.

Megaard said the fire did not spread to any other buildings.

The home was reportedly located on Lower Cascade Ridge Road.
