An incoming low pressure cell will draw widespread rain across the state Friday.

The most significant rain is expected to pass just south of Helena and Lewistown.

A few thunderstorms are possible, however none are expected to become severe.

Temperatures will remain much cooler on Friday with highs in the high 50s.

High pressure will rebuild on Saturday allowing for more sun and warmer temperatures.

By Sunday highs are expected to climb to the high 70s.

A few pop up thunderstorms are possible late Sunday afternoon.

More widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected to take us into the new work week.

Forecast models are suggesting that the next batch of rain will stick around through Wednesday.
