Gusty winds have brought in some fairly warm temperatures Friday!

Sadly, they won't last much longer.

Mild temperatures are expected through Friday night and into early Saturday, but then a cold front moving through the state will cause them to drop.

Expect lows in the 30s and 40s Friday night, and highs in the 40s and 50s Saturday.

The cold front, much like the last few, will bring much more than just a drop in our temperatures.

Rain, freezing rain, and snow will all be possible as the front moves in.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued ahead of the front.

There is still some uncertainty on the exact timing of the front, as well as on snow totals behind in it.

In general, the cold front will have passed through most of North Central Montana by early Saturday afternoon.

The bulk of the rain and snow will start up Saturday evening, before turning to all snow overnight and into the day Sunday.

Snow totals will range from as little as a trace to to 2 inches near Helena, to as much as half a foot along parts of the Hi-Line, and areas between Havre and Lewistown.

See the attached video for the our latest snowfall forecast.

Even in spots will little snow accumulation, very icy roads are expected thanks to rain and freezing rain behind the front.

Roads are expected to be in poor shape Sunday, and it will be best to stay home if possible.

If you do head out, be sure to check road conditions beforehand.

Check back with us through the weekend too, for the latest reports and updates on this incoming winter weather.
