February will begin, much like January ended, warm and breezy. Today we've had wind gusts approaching 30 mph across the area which has helped keep temperatures above average for many.

The work week will start off with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s in several locations, which is well above average for this time of year. No worries though for those who miss Winter. This work week will end with highs in the teens and lows below zero. Areas along the Hi-Line and in North-Eastern Montana may see lows approaching the teens below zero by Friday night. How cold it gets will depend on if we get a layer of snowfall on the ground and whether or not we have clear skies (which will allow for any warmth to escape the surface).

The outlook for snowfall is still a bit tricky, but there appears to be a possibility of accumulating snow for the mountains and the plains by Friday. Again, a lot can change as we get closer to the event, so keep checking back for updates.
