Dry conditions will persist as we head into the work week, with the best chances for precipitation being in the form of a stray flurry or two as a system moves through the region Monday into Tuesday. We don't anticipate any measurable precipitation out of this system, except for at the much higher elevations along the Continental Divide. Clouds will be the main weather story, with most areas seeing mostly cloudy skies through much of the week.

Temperatures will dip slightly below average with this system moving through on Monday and Tuesday, however a quick rebound will return temperatures to the 40s by the end of the week. Areas along the Hi-Line and into Eastern Montana will see slightly cooler temperatures than those in South-Central Montana, but it will still be relatively mild considering the time of year.

Our 8-14 day outlook suggests a better chance for precipitation as we head into February, but it's still too soon to tell exactly how that will play out. We'll certainly continue to monitor the trends as we go through the next several days.
