Active weather across the nation, calmer here

Montana is missing out on the bad weather
Posted

Sunday has been a very busy weather day Nationwide.

In the Central and Northern Plains, heavy snow and blizzard conditions have severely impacted travel.

Some spots have already picked up more than a foot of snow.

Much of the Eastern United States is dealing with heavy rains, with flooding being a real concern.

Embedded in that rain are also some very strong thunderstorms, with parts of Mississippi and Alabama under a Tornado Watch Sunday afternoon.

Here in Montana, all we're seeing is clouds and light snow showers to the west.

The rest of the state has enjoyed a sunny Sunday.

Most of us will see lots of sunshine Monday as well!

Temperatures will still be on the chilly side though, with highs mainly in the 30s, and cooler highs in the 20s for Northeastern Montana.

Winds will be fairly light, but will pick up later in the week as our next weather system moves in.
