Stronger wind will bump the temperatures a bit on Tuesday allowing for highs in the upper 30s and low 40s.

The wind will gradually increase as the day plays out, especially along the immediate vicinity of the Rocky Mountain Front.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for most of Central Montana in anticipation of the strong wind.

Gusts in upwards of 60 mph are expected, especially later this evening.

Temperatures will remain just above average on Wednesday before much colder air moves in during the afternoon.

This cold air mass will drop temperatures to the upper teens overnight Wednesday.

Cold air will continue to funnel in as we head through the later half of the work week.

Highs will remain in the low 30s on Thursday with some snow in south central Montana.

Friday is shaping up to be still colder with highs in the mid to low 20s.

The below average temperatures are expected to last through the weekend and into next week.

Forecast models are showing another area of low pressure headed our way.

The models have been differing on how this pressure system will play out early next week.

If it tracks further north, snow is likely and if it stays south, we should remain dry.

One way or another it will likely keep temperatures below average next week.
