As the wind picks up so does the fire danger

Friday's temperatures will remain on track with average before cooler air settles in this weekend.

Highs are expected to reach the mid 80s on Friday under mostly sunny skies.

The wind will pick up a bit increasing the fire danger today.

A fire weather warning is in effect for portions of the Hi-Line.

A few spotty and isolated storms are likely this afternoon and evening.

Today's storms will kick up in southwestern Montana and track through Lewistown, loosing strength as they continue northeast.

A cold front is on track to pass through the state on Saturday.

This system may kick up a few splash and dash showers however most areas will remain dry.

Temperatures will trend much cooler on Saturday because of this system with highs remaining in the low 80s.

Strong high pressure returns next week allowing for temperatures in the the 90s.
