Mostly cloudy skies will take over our area on Wednesday as a batch of moisture makes its way across the state.

Overall the precipitation is expected to be pretty limited.

A few mountain flurries are likely with scattered late day showers in the plains.

Temperatures will continue to climb today, reaching the high 40s this afternoon.

With the warmer temperatures also comes some wind.

Thursday is expected to be the windiest with gusts averaging between 25 and 35 mph.

North Central Montana will likely experience strongest wind gusts.

The windy conditions are expected to continue into the weekend.

Cooler and more unsettled weather is on track to return for the first part of next week.
