Temperatures will once again trend well above average for all of Central Montana.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms are expected late Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Much like yesterday, the brunt of this system will remain in the south central portions of the state.

Storms are expected to be short lived and isolated in nature.

Stronger storms are likely overnight in southeastern Montana.

Temperatures will continue to climb as we wrap up the work week.

Thursday and Friday will be the hottest with daytime highs climbing to the mid 90s.

The high pressure ridge that has dominated our forecast is expected to break down this weekend.

Forecast models are suggesting that an area of low pressure from the North Pacific will slide into the United States this weekend.

This system will allow for temperatures to cool to the mid 80s by Sunday.
