High pressure continues to feed our forecast

Posted

High pressure continues to control our weather as we head into the later half of our work week.

Following Wednesday’s cold front, temperatures will be slightly cooler on Thursday, mostly staying in the high 80s.

Winds will still be an issue on Thursday, however are not expected to be nearly as strong as yesterday.

Because of the low humidity, dry vegetation, and wind, the National Weather Service has extended the fire weather warning for Central Montana.

Temperatures will remain on track with average through the weekend.

A few spotty afternoon showers are likely this weekend as the current high pressure ridge breaks down slightly.
