Some stronger storms develop around the Capital City

We do not expect today to be as active as yesterday, but a few stronger to severe storms can’t be ruled out this afternoon and evening.

High pressure moves in for the weekend.

This will keep most of North-Central Montana dry.

A few showers and thunderstorms may develop across eastern parts of the state later Saturday afternoon.

Heading into next week, we track a nice warm-up back to average.

More moisture does move into the state Monday, so summer-like, isolated storm chances remain in the forecast through our holiday week.

Fourth of July will have a few popup showers and storms, but they most likely be short-lived.
