Old man winter returns

Posted

Breezy conditions will continue Wednesday morning before giving way to more calm weather this afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to remain above average through Thursday, staying in the low to mid 40s.

Friday will start our similar before giving way to our next weather system.

Temperatures are expected to begin falling Friday afternoon as an area of low pressure track to our south.

This pressure system will allow for arctic air to slide into Montana from our north.

Along with a significant drop in temperatures, snow is also expected to move in late Friday afternoon and last through the weekend.

Forecast models are not in great agreement with accumulation amounts but snow is expected for most of Central Montana.

Daytime high temperatures this weekend will remain well below freezing.
