* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Eastern Garfield County in northeastern Montana…
Southwestern Roosevelt County in northeastern Montana…
Southern Valley County in northeastern Montana…
McCone County in northeastern Montana…
Northwestern Prairie County in northeastern Montana…

* Until 930 PM MDT.

* At 823 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 21 miles northeast of Devils Creek Rec Area to 8
miles east of Brusett to 18 miles southeast of Edwards, moving east
at 55 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Circle, Jordan, Fort Peck, The Pines Rec Area, Duck Creek Rec Area,
Brockway, Hillside, Fort Peck Marina, Hell Creek Rec Area, Frazer,
Flowing Wells Rest Area, Cohagen, Nelson Creek Rec Area, Rock Creek
Rec Area, Oswego, Park Grove, Van Norman, Haxby, Weldon and Crow
Rock.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Fort Peck Lake, get away from the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
