FVCC planning show featuring Kalispell artist

The FVCC Art Department will host an exhibit opening on Feb. 11 featuring pieces by Kalispell artist Lavonne Burgard.

Burgard holds degrees in fine arts and arts education from Drake University.

She taught art for more than 30 years in Iowa, Arizona, South Dakota, Australia and Kalispell.

Her paintings have appeared in various galleries, with a selection currently hanging at Walkingman Gallery in Whitefish.

The exhibit will be on display at FVCC until mid-March.

Free and open to the public, the opening will run from 4 to 6 p.m. in the gallery on the lower level of the Arts and Technology Building.
