MISSOULA — A Missoula man was struck and killed while riding his bicycle last Friday in Missoula.
A Montana Highway Patrol report states a 22-year-old Missoula woman was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe northeast on Stephens Avenue when she struck the bicyclist at the intersection with East Bickford Street.
MPD says the 62-year-old man hit his head on the SUV's windshield. He was transported to St. Patrick Hospital with serious injuries where he later passed away.
MPD says drugs and alcohol are suspected by the woman who was not injured.
The man's name has not been released.
The Missoula Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
