Bozeman holds community conversation about domestic violence

Posted

BOZEMAN – Gallatin County Sheriff Deputy Colter Metcalf has a personal interest in stopping domestic violence.

On Saturday Metcalf helped facilitate a community meeting to discuss the impact of domestic violence on communities in Gallatin County.

Metcalf’s idea started with a very simple, yet disturbing stat: no matter where he has patrolled, there have been many cases of domestic abuse seen.

He hopes that his message this weekend hit home for many.

“Whether you realize it or not, you have been affected by domestic violence,” Metcalf said. “It affects everybody.”
