Interstate 90 near Belgrade has been shut down twice in two days due to several crashes.
On Friday morning, I-90 was closed near Jackson Creek for a short time around 2 a.m. when a semi crash blocked both lanes. The road has since reopened.
The closure followed a pile-up involving 11 cars near Belgrade Thursday evening. Traffic was diverted from the westbound lane, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Another eight vehicles reportedly slid off the highway in a short area between the Belgrade and Airport exits.
A trooper said one vehicle tried to slow down quickly and was hit from behind. The following vehicle also tried slow down and was also hit, causing a domino effect.
There were no serious injuries in the crash. An ambulance arrived on scene for one person, who denied medical assistance.
