Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is proposing new no-wake zones on Canyon Ferry Reservoir to help protect boat ramps and cabin sites.
The proposal would create a 200-foot no-wake zone from the shore beginning at Crittenden Campground and wrapping around the north end of the lake to Kayley Bay.
The no-wake restriction would not be imposed on the undeveloped shorelines.
On Wednesday, the Fish and Wildlife Commission adopted the proposal and extended public comment to allow for additional input on the matter.
People can comment via the FWP website or by mail through March 29, 2019.
