All of the chairlifts at Blacktail Mountain Ski Area are officially open thanks to our recent snowfall.

Crews opened Crystal Chairlift Wednesday giving skiers and snowboarders a taste of untouched snow. Blacktail Ski Area spokesperson Arin Lever says the Crystal, Thunderhead and Olympic chairlifts are now running at full capacity.

“We recorded 13 inches on Monday and then we just kept getting it, we ended up getting a settled base of 13 inches," said Lever. "It was just a nice dump to really cover things up, it was exactly what we were praying for."

Lever says a recent snowstorm on Monday and Tuesday gave the mountain enough snow coverage to fully open. Click here to check out the latest conditions at the ski area.

Thursday is the first official 'Thrifty Thursday' of the season at Blacktail. Full day adult lift tickets on Thrifty Thursday are only $25.
