Last year, a handful of MSU students recognized young female middle school and high school students are in need of feminine hygiene products at school. They formed Crescent Montana , to end period poverty in the state of Montana.

Wednesday morning, the president of Crescent MT, Jessica Brito, stopped by Montana this Morning to give us the details of a great event this Saturday, October 19 at the Townshend's Teahouse in downtown Bozeman: it's the "That Time of the Month" Music Festival.

The event takes place from 4-7 p.m. with live music, vendors and information how to help young women in need.

Crescent Montana's mission is to serve the the public interest by reducing disparities in access to health care in rural and tribal MT schools, specifically by providing readily available menstrual hygiene product to schools and access to reproductive health education.
