BUTTE - It’s quite a thrill to get curbside service directly from the Easter Bunny.
“Thank you! Woohoo!” shouted one little boy.
“We’re just trying to make it as normal as we can with all this crazy, unfortunate stuff going on,” said Shelly Fischer, owner of Kidz Konnection Day Care.
The day care gave away free Easter Baskets, with help from the Easter Bunny, to children whose parents drove by on Friday, so their kids can enjoy the holiday while observing social distancing rules.
“I just think it’s important for the kids to still know there’s Easter and the Easter Bunny and still be able to have a little bit of fun,” said Fischer.
And that’s how they do it here, because they think it’s really important during this difficult time to keep things as normal as possible.
“It keeps the kids on the schedule and makes them happy and makes everyone happy, I think,” said after-school teacher Sara Vandekop.
