Belgrade man dies in rollover crash near Paradise Valley on US 89

A man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on US 89 near Paradise Valley Saturday night, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

MHP said the crash happened around 8:05 p.m. Saturday at mile marker 39.

A 29-year-old Belgrade man was traveling southbound on US 89 when his vehicle drifted off to the right edge of the road for unknown reasons.

The man overcorrected multiple times in both directions before veering into the ditch.

He overcorrected again back to the left, then rolled multiple times before coming to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle.

The man was life-flighted to Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital in Bozeman; he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Alcohol is suspected, and it is not known if the man was wearing his seatbelt.
