Governor Bullock to announce new measures to control spread of COVID-19

UPDATE 10:21 p.m: According to the Lake County Public Health Office Thursday evening, the County has had its first confirmed case of COVID-19. The individual has been self-quarantined.

Governor Steve Bullock has issued a shelter in place / stay at home order for all Montanans, effective Saturday, March 28th at 12:01 a.m.

The announcements come following a nearly 20 case increase in positive tests. Montana currently has 90 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The directive issued Thursday afternoon is in effect on Saturday, March 28th.

Montana joins Idaho and 17 other states across the country in issuing a stay-at-home order.

There has been one hospitalization of a COVID-19 patient in Montana, according to the state Coronavirus Task Force .

There have not been any deaths in Montana attributed to COVID-19 at this point.
