State officials are urging consumers to use Shopko gift cards as soon as possible as the chain is set to close by June.
The Montana Office of Consumer Protection reported the deadline to use gift cards is April 20. Attorney General Tim Fox encouraged Montanans who possess Shopko gift cards to use them as soon as possible.
Shopko filed for bankruptcy protection in January. The store reported on March 19 that despite the company’s efforts, it was unable to find a buyer for its “go-forward business” and was closing all stores nationwide.
The closure impacts several Montana locations including in Helena, Great Falls, Shelby, Glasgow, Lewistown, Wolf Point, Plentywood, and Sidney.
