Water main break repaired on North Roberts Street in Helena

HELENA – Helena Public Works crews responded to the 400 block of North Roberts to repair a water main break Tuesday.

Reports of the break came early Tuesday morning.

Public Works was unable to provide specifics about the break, but said it has since been repaired.

As of around 9 a.m. Tuesday, a small portion of North Roberts remained blocked to traffic as construction crews continued final repairs.

Earlier this month, city crews said they were on high alert for more water main breaks as the weather turns colder.

According to the city, rapid changes in temperature combined with the city’s aging infrastructure can cause more water main breaks.
