(EAST HELENA) Police are investigating after a gun was discharged in East Helena.
According to East Helena Police Chief Mike Sanders, it happened Thursday on East Lewis Street at around 2 p.m.
East Helena public schools were briefly locked down because of their proximity to the incident.
According to a Facebook post on the school district’s page, students were able to go home via their normal routes at 2:50 p.m.
Chief Sanders says a man has been arrested and will be charged with at least one felony; the man’s name has not yet been released.
He says there is no danger to the public.
The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the call.
No other details have been released at this point; we will update you as we get more information.
