Cinemark movie theatres announced in a press release that beginning Wednesday, March 18, they will be closing all their movie theatres in the United States indefinitely.
Cinemark has extended the expiration date for all Cinemark Movie Rewards points to June 30, 2020, and has paused Movie Club memberships while the theatres are closed.
CEO Mark Zoradi wrote that online purchases will be automatically refunded in five to seven business days.
Tickets purchased at a Cinemark box office can be refunded by filling out a request at www.cinemark.com/contact-us.
The closure affects the 345 theatres in North America.
AMC and Regal both announced Monday that they would be closing, following a White House news conference telling Americans to avoid social gatherings of more than 10 people.
