A car crashed into the Halftime Sports Bar & Casino in Great Falls at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, while customers were inside.
Justin Robicheau reports - watch the video here:
No one in the car or in the restaurant was injured, but the crash caused significant damage. Plywood now patches the section of wall where the car broke through on the west side of the building.
General manager Robyn Roberts said she was shocked when she arrived: "It was just crazy. I mean, there was literally a car in the middle of the bar and tables everywhere, and I mean, it was a sight that I would hope to never see again, that's for sure. We're just lucky that nobody got hurt."
Kai Underdahl was sitting inside the bar having supper when the car crashed through the wall.

"We had our ticket on our table just getting ready to leave. All of a sudden, boom! Car hit the wall, came into the building. It kind of indented the wall just a little bit. I believe you could see some daylight after that first impact," Underdahl said.
The driver then backed up and crashed into the building a second time, sending customers running for safety.
Underdahl recalled, "The car backed out and all of a sudden you hear the tires screeching. I was like. 'Uh oh!' The first thought in your mind is they're coming again. So immediately, as soon as we heard those tires screech, it was, 'Run!' On the second impact, the car did not hit our table, but it hit a chair at our table where a friend of mine was sitting."
In the hours after the crash, crews worked to secure the building and cover the damage.
"We had a great emergency crew that came in and got everything done. Within an hour, they were here and fixing this up," Roberts said.
Police say a vehicle malfunction caused the driver to crash through the wall of the business.
The Great Falls Police Department says no citations were issued to the driver. The Halftime remains open for business.
