BILLINGS— A Billings man accused in the shooting death of another man outside a Dairy Queen pleaded not guilty to charges Tuesday in Yellowstone County District Court.

Rahim Lee Calloway, 30, appeared in court by video conference to make that plea to charges of felony deliberate homicide stemming from the shooting at the Billings West End restaurant Saturday.

Police say Calloway had a prior relationship with Christian Henning, 25, before shots were fired after the two argued on social media concerning a recording deal.

According to the interaction on Facebook, both men worked in the music recording business prior to the shooting, but court documents say the deadly disagreement erupted over a $100 recording deal.

Saturday afternoon, officers were called to the Dairy Queen on Henesta Drive, where Henning was dead from several gunshot wounds to his left side and one to his head.

Prosecutors say surveillance footage captured from the scene of the murder show Calloway approaching Henning in a Subaru vehicle in the parking lot and firing several rounds at the car. Then, at one point, he placed the gun through the window where Henning was and fired again.

Henning was found dead at the scene.

Calloway is said to have fled from the scene in silver-colored vehicle but turned himself in to police roughly 20 minutes later.

Tuesday, the judge set a bond of $500,000 for Calloway.
