A man who was convicted of killing two people has been charged for crimes committed in jail.
Last month, a jury found Preston Rossbach of Dixon guilty of killing Jason Flink and Megan McLaughlin in October 2018.
The new charges allege that during his March trial, Rossbach smeared intimidating notes in a jail cell.
According to court documents, smudges on the cell wall name two people that testified against Rossbach.
The smudges say the witnesses are both "a rat."
DNA taken from the writings on the wall was analyzed at the Montana State Crime Lab and was found to be a match for Rossbach.
Rossbach is being charged with tampering with witnesses and informants.
He is set to be sentenced in July for the double homicide case.
