Missoula County reports 2 additional COVID-19 deaths

Two additional COVID-19 related deaths have been confirmed in Missoula County.

The Missoula City-County Health Department reported Thursday afternoon that two more county residents "have passed from complications related to COVID-19 infection."

The victims are being described as older adults. To date, there have been 16 COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Missoula County.

"Missoula City-County Health Department and local government officials are deeply saddened to report that two more county residents have passed from complications related to COVID-19 infection," a news release states.

Please are being asked to "continue being diligent with health and safety practices to shore up public and community health at a time when our healthcare infrastructure continues being further impacted by COVID-19."

An additional 75 COVID-19 cases as well as 620 active cases reported by MCCHD on Thursday. To date, there have been 2,249 COVID-19 cases and 1,615 recoveries.

COVID-19 deaths were also reported on Thursday in Lake and Flathead counties.
