Students at Belgrade High School will get to enjoy more space from a $25 million renovation project.

While there’s still work to be done, students will be using a new gym, library, 12 new classrooms, and a larger cafeteria when they start school on Wednesday. This is the 6th renovation project at Belgrade High because growing student numbers. This latest project will increase the high school’s capacity from 900 to 1,200 students, needed as Belgrade experiences rapid growth.

“We’re the first school that has moved from class C to all the way up to double A status and in the past three years, we’ve been growing at a rate of 50 students per year," said Belgrade High Principal Paul Lamb. "We were about 850 students two years ago now we’ll be at over 1,000 students this year.”

Principal Lamb hopes that this latest renovation project will be enough for the next 10 years.
