Fire danger remains high in Southwest Montana Monday afternoon.

There, a Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 9 pm.

It’s been another hot, dry day, but it’s the chance for isolated storms in the area through the evening that has the Red Flag Warning in effect.

Any storms that develop will bring lightning and gusty winds, which could make existing fires more difficult to fight.

Isolated storms remain in the forecast for most of North Central Montana Tuesday.

Fortunately the risk of severe weather is low.

Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90 Tuesday, with strong winds expected on the Hi-Line.

For this reason a Fire Weather Warning will be in effect 12 PM to 9 PM Tuesday For Glacier, Pondera, Toole, Liberty, Hill, and Blaine County, as well as small portions of Chouteau and Phillips County.
