The Lewis & Clark County Coroner says a Helena woman was found dead in the snow outside her home on Wednesday.
The woman was found at around 1 p.m. on the 3000 block of Villard Avenue.
Coroner Bryan Backeberg says an autopsy will be performed in the next few days to determine the cause and manner of death.
However, he says it appears the woman had been outside since at least the previous night.
Backeberg says the victim was in her mid-60’s.
He has not yet released her name because he is still trying to notify family members.
