Helena woman reported missing has been found safe

Mariam Morrison has been found in Pryor, Montana, and is OK, according to the Montana Department of Justice.

The DOJ made the announcement on Thursday afternoon.

A statewide missing person alert had been issued for Morrison earlier this week.

No other information has been released.

(JULY 12, 2016) The Montana Department of Justice on Monday night issued a Missing/Endangered Person Advisory for Miriam Esther Morrison of Helena.

Morrison, 41 years old, had an appointment in the 900 block of Jackson at around 11 a.m. Monday. 

She was supposed to take a city bus and return to her Helena residence at 1:30 p.m.

Morrison was last seen walking north of Jackson Street heading toward the Man Store. She did not get on the bus at 1:30 p.m.

She was reported missing to the Helena Police Department at around 6:30 p.m. after she failed to return home.

Morrison is 5’11” and 210 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She has pierced ears, four upper false teeth, a tattoo on her thumb, and is diabetic and has high blood pressure.

She was last seen wearing a black coat, blue sweater, black Bob Marley t-shirt, black jeans, carrying unknown color purse.

The advisory states that Miriam has mental health issues and is developmentally disabled. She functions at an 8-10 year old age, is not taking her medications, may not comprehend danger, and could become violent.
