The winter storm we have been tracking all week has lost much of its strength upon making landfall.
About the only areas seeing the rain and snow out of this system currently are into the mountains.
As the cold front associated with this system breaks over the mountains Friday, we will see a pretty drastic increase in winds along the Front range and plains.
Wind gust over 40 mph are likely along the Front Range.
A rain and snow mix is still a possibility as this system passes across the state on Friday.
Our weekend is still expected to be filled with plenty of sun shine and mild temperatures.
