Helena man charged with throwing dog poop at partner

Posted: Mar 06, 2018 1:17 PM Updated:

Aaron Lee Lynn Standard appeared in Justice Court in Helena on Monday on charge of partner/family member assault.

On Friday, Helena police officers were called to Standard’s house for a disturbance. His partner is currently pregnant with their child.

She said that they had gotten into an argument, and Standard spit on her several times.

The victim also said that Standard picked up dog feces and threw it at her. He also threw an orange, and ran at the victim, making her believe she was going to be assaulted.

He has already pleaded guilty in Gallatin County for aggravated assault, and is scheduled to be sentenced later in March in Bozeman.

Since Standard has two partner-family member assault convictions, this makes his third offense a felony.

The maximum penalty, if convicted for the felony, is up to five years in prison and/or a $50,000 fine.
