William Bagosy was arrested in Helena on Monday after he reportedly threatened two people with a gun, sending a nearby restaurant into a brief lockdown.

The incident started just after 8 p.m. when Helena police say Bagosy pointed a gun at a couple whose car got stuck near Bagosy’s camper in the 3200 block of North Sanders.

Police responded by creating a perimeter and contacting businesses in the area.

After a short time, officers located Bagosy and the rifle, which turned out to be a pellet rifle.

One of the businesses sent into lockdown was the nearby Pizza Ranch.

Customers at the restaurant were allowed to leave shortly after 9 p.m.

Bagosy was arrested for two counts of assault with a weapon, and was booked into the Lewis & Clark County Jail with no bond.
