(UPDATE, 9 p.m.) Additional road closures have been reported from the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway 200 north to Harlem along Highway 66 and north to Malta along Highway 191.
The following schools are closed for Monday or have adjusted bus routes:
Glasgow and Chinook Public Schools will be in session, however, buses will not run. Geyser Public Schools will start two hours late at 10 a.m. Buses will also run two hours late.
(1st Report, 6:54 p.m.) A winter storm has caused severe driving conditions and closed schools across Montana.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, Highway 191 between Harlowton and Eddie's Corner is closed due to zero visibility, heavy snowfall, high winds, and ice with major drifting.
Highway 89 from St. Mary almost to Browning is also closed.
Severe driving conditions have been issued for Highway 2 from Havre to Hingham, Highway 80 from Stanford to Geraldine, and Highway 191 from the Canadian border through Malta to almost the intersection of Highway 66.
The National Weather Service in Glasgow relayed a message from Valley County Dispatch that plows cannot keep up with the storm and people are getting stuck. If you do not have to travel, please stay off of the roads.
