A Billings couple convicted of trafficking the equivalent of nearly 22,000 doses of methamphetamine in Montana will spend a collective 26 years in federal prison.

Raymond Tetzlaff, 35, and his 36-year-old wife, Crystal, were sentenced in U.S. District Court in Billings on Friday.

Raymond Tetzlaff was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, as well as possessing a firearm used to further the drug operation.

Crystal Tetzlaff was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

According to court documents, the couple possessed 6 pounds of pure methamphetamine that they intended to sell.

Prosecutors say the quantity of the drug seized is equal to 21,744 individual dosage units of methamphetamine that was seized before being sold to people in Montana.

The couple was initially charged with possessing 2 pounds of methamphetamine, but investigators later linked the couple to a large amount of the drug.

Sean Gilmore was sentenced to prison earlier this week for possessing methamphetamine for sale that he acquired from the Tetzlaffs.

The couple is required to be under supervision for five years upon their release from prison.
