Susan Robinson is helping her students learn more about Montana history.

That’s why she’s this week’s One Class At A Time grant recipient.

First Interstate Bank and KXLH recently surprised Robinson’s class at Central School with a $250 check.

The money from the grant will be used to purchase copies of “Naya Nuki” by Kenneth Thomasma.

The book is a historical fiction that takes place in Montana and North Dakota. The book follows a Native American heroine traveling a thousand miles to make her way home after being taken prisoner by an enemy tribe.

Robison says that finding good copies of the book can be difficult.

Unfortunately the book is out of print so I’m just thrilled to be able the money to snatch up good copies so I can keep teaching 4th graders about this,” says Robinson.

Robinson added that she’s very grateful for being recognized and wanted to thank First Interstate for supporting the schools.
