Short story contest offers two night stay in forest service cabin

Posted: Feb 03, 2018 10:53 PM Updated:

If you have a memory or experience at a national forest, you could spend up to two nights at a forest service rental cabin for free.

All you have to do is submit a 500-word short story about your favorite memory or experience while visiting a national forest to the Helena Lewis and Clark Center or to the Montana Discovery Foundation.

The contest is open to people of all ages although there are two categories to submit stories.

The youth category is open up to age 17 while the general category is for people 18 years or older.

All submissions are due by March 30th.

When submitting a short story, include your name, phone number, email, and category.

If you submit to the youth category, kids should include their parents' phone number.

You can email your story to debbieanderson@fs.fed.us or message the story through the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest's Facebook page.

You can also mail your short story to:

Montana Discovery Foundation, ATTN Debbie Anderson
