Several wintry weather systems headed to Montana

Three separate winter weather events are making their way into Big Sky Country for this weekend and into the start of the work week.  System one will come today into tonight with freezing rain, snow and rain expected. Travel can be a concern, especially in areas where a wintry mix will be.

System two will arrive Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. There will be moderate widespread snow expected across the state. Roads will be covered with snow and visibilities can be reduced at times.

The next system comes in time for the big game on Sunday! This system will take place Sunday afternoon until Monday morning. Moderate snow is also expected with this system and snowfall rates can be as high as one inch per hour, especially in the mountains. Several days of snow can be a problem for your Monday morning commute, especially on side streets.

The STORMTracker weather team has your amounts for the first two systems included in this video and will keep you updated on road conditions and amounts throughout the weekend. Check on our app for continuous video updates and radar before heading out the door.
