Alex Joseph Mondragon has been charged with felony burglary and two misdemeanors in Great Falls.
On January 22nd, a police officer responded to a report of a burglary, and noted that the front door of the residence had damage to the frame and appeared to have been kicked in.
The victim told police that shoes and clothing were missing from the residence, and alleged that Mondragon was responsible, saying that Mondragon had "stranded" him at Walmart earlier and knew about the victim's belongings.
Police interviewed Mondragon and noted that he was wearing a pair of vintage Adidas shoes that appeared to match a pair that had been stolen from the victim.
Court documents state that Mondragon admitted kicking down the door and stealing several pairs of shoes and clothing, and acknowledged that he had no authority to enter the residence, take the items, or damage the door.
Mondragon is charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor theft, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Prosecutors requested that bond for Mondragon be set at $5,000.
