National School Choice Week continued in Great Falls on Wednesday as families stood on the steps of the Civic Center to bring awareness to homeschooling.
National School Choice Week informs parents of schooling options as well as celebrates opportunity in education.
Erinn Addy, a homeschooling mother of five children, said there is a huge community of homeschoolers in Cascade County.
They are using National Choice Week as a chance to show homeschooling pride.
"We use it as a spirit week for school," Addy said. "Being homeschooled, we don't have proms or homecomings or things like that that we do as a community so we just make this a day to celebrate that we get to homeschool. It's a freedom that we enjoy."
As a part of National School Choice Week, Foothills Community Christian School will have an open house Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
Prospective families and interested community members can learn more about the school as an option for teaching their kids.
