Samantha Nicole Wise has been charged in Great Falls with possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner.
Wise, an inmate at the Cascade County Detention Center, was charged on Tuesday after jail officer found her with a knife in her cell.
Court documents state that on the afternoon of Saturday, January 13, a Sheriff's deputy was called to the jail for a report of an inmate - Wise - in possession of a weapon.
The detention center officer told the deputy that Wise had been threatening to kill herself in her cell, and had been holding a knife to her abdomen.
The officer was able to defuse the situation, and Wise threw the knife out of her cell.
According to the charging document, Wise confessed that she had hidden the folding knife between her buttocks when she was booked into the jail on Wednesday, January 10th. She reportedly then said that when a strip-search was conducted as she was being booked, she was able to move the knife and hide it in her issued towel.
Wise is charged with one felony for the incident: possession of deadly weapon by prisoner or youth in facility.
Wise was jailed last week after being charged with three felonies after she allegedly stole from Shopko and led police on a high-speed chase; click here for details.
We have again requested a booking photo of Wise from the jail, but they have not yet been able to provide one.
