Posted: Jan 02, 2018 8:18 AM Updated:

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a Blizzard Warning for the northern Rocky Mountain Front, which is in effect until 11 am Tuesday.

This includes Logan Pass, Marias Pass, Browning, and Heart Butte.

Highway 2 is closed from Marias Pass through East Glacier, Browning, to Cut Bank.

Ground blizzard conditions are occurring.

Travel will be very dangerous to impossible.

Strong wind gusts will cause whiteout conditions. Significant drifting and blowing snow is expected.

If you must travel, have a extra flashlight, food, and water in case of an emergency.

Tony Wagner, the director of student activities at Browning Public Schools, says that the Browning vs Shelby basketball games scheduled for Tuesday will not be played, and will be rescheduled. There will not be any practices held on Tuesday January 2, 2018 as well.

The Superintendent of Browning Public Schools has cancelled the work day for Browning Public Schools.
