Multiple crews responded to a grass fire burning west of Great Falls on Gore Hill.
Reports of the fire came in around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon for 4517 62nd Avenue Southwest.
The fire was located behind Gore Hill Volunteer Fire Department's station although the station was not threatened.
Gore Hill, Black Eagle, and Ulm fire departments responded as well as the Montana Air National Guard.
According to Gore Hill Fire Chief Carl Thrasher, the fire started along a road and quickly spread between some homes due to the wind.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from reaching the homes but an RV was lost.
The fire burned about two acres and no injuries were reported.
According to Thrasher, volunteers are working hard to keep the fires small and under control.
"All that we ask is people do their job," he said. "One less spark, one less wildfire. Let's keep these things from happening the best we can."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
We will update you if we get more information.
