Helena was busy on Saturday as St. Peter's Hospital hosted the annual Family Fun Fest and Memorial Park was packed with beer connoisseurs for the Montana Brewers Summer Rendezvous.
At Centennial Park, 450 of Helena's youth participated in the annual Family Fun Fest run.
After the run, the kids were given free backpacks at the Great Northern Town Center, which had games, snacks, and prizes.
A free health screening and fire truck and ambulance tours were also available.
Wade Johnson, CEO of Saint Peter's Hospital, said he was happy with the turnout and that it's important for families to stay fit together.
"I think it starts with the family and working together to be healthy, to feel well," he said. "Sometimes we think of the hospitals or St. Peter's an organization of being in terms of sick. We are happy to sponsor events to health and well-being."
People who wore lime green Fun Fest shirts received free admission to ExplorationWorks.
Over at Memorial Park, 27 Montana breweries served 95 of their signature beers along with pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, and more at the Summer Rendezvous.
Joan Arnseson brought her best friend to the event for her bachelorette party.
"My favorite brewery and favorite beer is coming from Philipsburg, Montana," she said. "This is a very nice turnout for Helena, great food, great people, great selection of beer."
Live music was provided by John Floridis and Ten Years Gone.
People who attended the event left with a collectible glass for every ticket.
